The Government has introduced a range of legislation and incentives, such as the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), to encourage and enforce the use of renewable solutions, like air source heat pumps, to help reduce the long term energy and carbon impact that buildings have on the environment. In commercial properties, 44% of the total energy usage provides the space heating and hot water. In residential building this percentage raises to over 80%.
